Abstract
Large core multimode fiber is introduced. A stranded loose tube cable with large core multimode fiber （200/230－37μm） is developed. With double corrugated steel and LSOH sheath，the cable is rodent－resistant and flame retardant. Compared the process with normal single mode fibers （Φ250m），the process and excess in secondary coating with large core MMFs （Φ500m） is studied. The cable is found to be satisfactory and now services in the application of sensor.
